What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic Medicine is a holstic primary healthcare system that applies natural modalities to restore health. It combines traditional principles with modern science using botanicals, nutraceuticals, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, physiotherapeutics, nutrition, and advanced clinical testing.

Who are naturopathic doctors?

Naturopathic doctors (ND) are licensed healthcare practitioners that have graduated from an accredited 4-year medical school. In licensed states, NDs act as primary care providers and can perform the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

What to expect at an appointment?

NDs perform a thorough health intake to understand the person as a whole. In addition to the typical past medical history, they also consider factors such as genetics, environmental exposures, pharmaceutical interactions, diet, exercise, social lifestyle, and emotional health. The appointment usually is one hour for first time patients and 30 minutes for follow-ups.
